This past weekend, Louie and I joined in on the 25th year of the Elkin’s retreat at Priest Lake. My family, as well as around 7 other families have been going up to Elkin’s resort since I was one year old. It is a grand time of 23 or so people sharing one cabin, eating too much, and playing lots of games. It was fun to share the experience with Louie, and let him meet all those people who helped raise me!
Here are some photos:
Everyone who was up at Elkins this year. This is actually a small group. Think of all these people in one cabin.
Brad eating cupcakes…I think Kim and Mary made something like 90 cupcakes.
Drinking…Kim maybe having a little too much…and I had to capture the nun having her traditional wine coolers!
The reading, knitting, and games are always happening!
Sunday, we all went out for a ski on the lake. It is rare the the lake is frozen, so it was fun!
I came back fat and happy. I love this weekend away!

looks like fun! nice pics. i dont understand why anyone would want to cross country ski, though!
I loved seeing all of the friends. I certainly do hope that I can join the group again soon.

I am so glad that you do these things it reminds me of my childhood with all of our family and friends and Louie never got to do that. Looks like a great time.
