Happy New Years!

Dec. 31st...New Years Eve...

Nothing spectacular happened on this day to report. We were debating whether or not to drive to Oak Harbor for the weekend like we had planned. The freeways here were pretty clear...and it was party sunny. Louie looked at the pass report, and noticed that traction tires were required...and they were doing avalanche control. Erin had driven over a couple days ago and got stuck for 2 HOURS on the pass because of the avalanche control...so we didn't want to risk it and get stuck...

There were a couple parties we got invited to...but we both were feeling like we just wanted to be home for once. We ran a whole bunch of necessary errands...went out to eat at the Olive Garden...and came home to play some video games! Sad to report...we didn't even stay up till midnight...how old are we!!

A watched pot never boils...but this time I finally got the fireplace hot enough that my pot of water did boil!!

We have the biggest ice shards hanging down our house!

And with the ferocious winds...a big branch landed against our house...

Jan. 1st, 2009...bringing in the new year! This morning Louie and I went for a walk with Bentley down to our local bakery...had a cup of coffee and a sticky bun. Then...we headed to the annual Polar Bear Plunge, where I tried to get Louie to jump in...but no such luck. He says next year. It was quite the crowd!

Louie was sliding down the road on the way back from watching the plunge. I thought the fresh snow on the trees were pretty and asked him to pose.

Libby Montana REPRESENTS! Next year I expect to see Lydia and Louie jumping into Cd'A lake!

Watching the plunge...I like this shot of Louie! No lightroom messing around today...just straight out of the camera...

We didn't actually make it ontime to the beach...but we were able to stand on these pillars and watch from above...all those crazies who went into the lake. I did it once...but when it turned into the year 2000...everyone needs to do it at least once!

Happy New Years EVERYONE! Have a good day off of work!
